Qualitative Coding (QCoder)

QCoder is a free, lightweight, open-source R package designed for analyzing text-based qualitative data, including interview transcripts, observation notes, memos, jottings, and primary source/archival documents. It supports social scientists, historians, humanists, and other researchers using qualitative methods, providing an easy interface for defining codes and assigning them to text regions. The software is currently a minimal prototype and is not yet officially released, considered experimental and subject to changes.
